The image top is of the Free Car Park, the
Start of the Trail is a couple of hundred yards
along the Forest Road.
The Start of the Trail is well marked,
leading up onto the Wide North Ridge.
Once on the North Ridge, it is a Steep Hike
to start off with.
The Second Section on the Ridge is fairly
steep as well, may be Soggy in places during
the Rainy Season.
The Top Section has a Rocky Part with a 12
feet Climb Down, fairly easy but the Bottom Toe
Hold is Faint, so many people Jump down the
bottom 5 feet. Go Down Backwards and there
should be no problem using the Bottom Toe Hold,
save risking the twist of an ankle.
Once down the Climb, there is a real Steep
Section then a Steady Walk out to the
Summit.
The Summit gives great views south down to
the village of Lochgoilhead. Large Summit
View.
Heading Back Down the Same Trail, you have
to Climb back up the Rocky Section. Large Images of
the Climb.
This area has a lot of Deep Crevis, so will
be real Dangerous in Snow.
Back down the Lower Section gives a good
view to the Car Park and the Rest and be
Thankful just along the road.
There is normally a Fast Food Van at the
Rest and be Thankful.
The Click on Map below shows the Tourist
Trails in Blue, Brown Rougher Trails, and Red a
Bit Dangerous.
