Turnberry Ailsa 9th

Ailsa 9th Strokesaver

Below is a view from the back tee of the most famous hole at Turnberry, the 452 yard par four, 9th, Bruce's Castle. The lighthouse was built on the spot that once contained the castle where the most famous king of Scotland was born. The back tee requires a carry of about 200 yards to reach the fairway. Note the granite marker in the fairway to aim for, right side of this image. Any wind is normally from behind.
