is a view from the tee of the 342 yard par four 11th, Doon and
Roon. The three land marks are the island of Ailsa Craig, Turnberry
Lighthouse and the aviation monument in honour of British, United
States and Australian servicemen that lost their lives while
training at the Turnberry School of Arial Gunnery & Fighting,
or later, during the Second World War itself, 1939 - 1945. |
