Legend of the Seas was the first of
two ships in this class built for the Royal
Caribbean Cruise Line. The second of the two
sisters Splendour of the
Seas entered service in 1996. These
ships followed RCCLs three larger 73,192 ton
Sovereign class that entered service between
1988 and 1992.
This class of cruise ship has 11 passenger
decks, 2 pools, 8 bars, cinema/theatre with
752 seats, 575 outside cabins of which 231
have balconies, 327 inside cabins, can carry
1,804 passengers and a crew of 720.
Legend
is mainly operated on Far East cruises
departing from ports such as Hong Kong,
Shanghai, Tokyo and Singapore.
Splendour’s main
routes are from Venice - various ports
throughout the Mediterranean & Agean
Seas, plus from Sao Paulo to various South
American ports.
