Fantasy was the first of eight
sister ships built for the Carnival Cruise
Line. Other ships in this class are
Ecstasy that entered service in
1991, Sensation 1993,
Fascination 1994, Imagination
1995, Inspiration 1996,
Elation 1998 and Paradise
1998. The Fantasy class followed Carnivals
three 47,000-ton Holiday class ships that
entered service between 1985 and 1987.
These eight sisters have 10 passenger
decks, 3 pools, 5 bars, casino, fitness
center, 1,000-seat show lounge, 620 outside
cabins with 54 having verandas, 402 inside
cabins, can carry over 2,000 passengers and
a crew of 920.
Fantasy is based at
Charlston and Mobile to be operated on
4&5 day cruises - Caribbean &
Bahamas.
Ecstasy operates out of
Galveston on 4&5 day cruises - Western
Caribbean.
Sensation is operated out
of Port Canaveral on 3&4 day cruises -
Bahamas.
Fascination is based at
