This ship was taken into the main NCL fleet in 1990 to be operated under the name Westward. Between 1993 and 1996, the Royal Cruise Line operated her under the name Star Odyssey.

Fred Olsen acquired Star Odyssey in 1996 to be operated under the name Black Watch. This ship then joined Fred Olsen’s other cruise ship the 11,209-ton Black Prince, that was sold by Fred Olsen in 2009.

Black Watch has 8 decks, 2 pools, 6 bars, casino, fitness center, showroom, 375 outside cabins of which 9 have balconies, 47 inside cabins, can carry over 800 passengers and a crew of 330.
