Aurora was the second fast cruise
ship built for P&O to be operated on
cruises throughout the world. She followed
their 69,153-ton Oriana that entered
service in 1995.
Aurora has 10 passenger decks, 3
pools, 12 bars, casino, gymnasium, 700-seat
theatre, 655 outside cabins of which 245
have balconies, 284 inside cabins, can
carry 1,878 passengers and a crew of
850.
Aurora
is operated on cruises from Southampton -
Mediterranean & Canary Islands,
Southampton - Norway, Southampton - New
York via the Azores, Norfolk &
Philadelphia, New York - New England, and
Southampton - Caribbean.
Aurora is also operated on
cruises between Southampton &
Australia. On her 91 day 2003 world cruise
from Southampton, she called at Madeira,
Barbados, St Lucia, Curacao, Panama,
Acapulco, San Francisco, Honolulu, Hawaii,
American Samoa, Pacific Islands, New
Zealand, Australia, Japan, China,
Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand,
