Armonia was the first of two cruise ships in this class built for Festival Cruises / First European named European Vision. The second cruise ship in this class, European Stars, entered service in 2002. This class of cruise ship is actually a stretched version of Festival’s 47,900-ton Mistral that entered service in 1999. Mistral has been operated as Grand Mistral for Iberocruceros since 2005.

These two ships have 8 passenger decks, 2 pools, 7 bars, casino, fitness center, 600 seat show lounge, 492 outside cabins with 132 having balconies, 291 inside cabins, can carry over 1,500 passengers and a crew of 700.

European Vision was operated on cruises throughout the Mediterranean from May - November and the Caribbean from December - April. European Stars was normally operated on Mediterranean cruises out of Genoa - Southern France, Sicily, Mallorca, Spain & North Africa.

Both ships were sold to MSC Italian Cruises in 2004. European Vision is now operated by MSC under the name Armonia and European Stars under the name Sinfonia.
