Oasis of the Seas was the first of

Her sister ship Allure of
the Seas will enter service in
a few years time. These two ships follow
RCCLs Freedom of the Seas class
ships at 158,000-tons that began entering
service in 2006. Freedom class ships were the
largest passenger ships before the Oasis
class.
The worlds largest ever ship Seawise
Giant is 260,851 tons, could cruise
ships soon exceed the bulk of these largest
ever ships, the Ultra Large Crude
Carriers.
Oasis has 16 passenger decks,

staterooms, can carry 5,400 passengers and a
crew of 2,800.
These ships are so large they include a
new feature to cruise ships, seven
neighborhoods on board, each with their own
distinct experience. As of right now, three
of the seven have been officially unveiled to
the public, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade and
Central Park.
