Abernethy Golf Club

On most days, it is possible to "walk on",
without a reserved tee time. Families are
welcome and handicap certificates are not
required. For those without clubs we have a few
sets for hire. Abernethy is a traditional
Highland golf course, built on natural
moorland, and surrounded by majestic pine
trees. Situated 37 miles southeast of

The course covers 25 acres of mature parkland.
Its 1429 yards (par 32) offer a variety of
challenges that will amuse the seasoned player
and welcome the beginner. The course record is
27. If you can beat this, or even if you can't,
there is a licensed restaurant and snack bar
for consolation and refreshment at the castle.
Situated 14 miles east of Inverness, 5 miles

Lybster Golf Club

As Lybster Golf Club (LGC) is one of the
shortest 9 hole courses (4,004 yards, par 62,
SSS 61) in Scotland it is very popular with a
wide range of golfers of varying age groups and
abilities. Our longest hole is only 318 yards
and our shortest (although by no means the
easiest) is only 90 yards. Situated 95 miles
north of Inverness, 14 miles south of
Wick.

The course is based on a line of grassy hills,
with the springy turf of a true links course.
It is a nine hole course, par 68, SSS 65.

Inverness, 38 miles west of Fort William, 6
miles south of Mallaig.
