Ibiza
Town really is THE most
fascinating part of the island, day
or night. Here you will see, in
glorious living colour, a
concentration of all the
attractions and eccentricities
which have made Ibiza world
famous.
There is not much accommodation
in Ibiza Town itself, most prefer
to stay in nearby Talamanca or
Figueretas (both with beaches).
However if you wish to stay right
in the centre of town, there are a
few hotels and apartments.

Es Calo
is a village on the main road
through the middle of Formentera.
There are shops nearby and a few
local restaurants - all very
convenient for self catering or
eating out. Apparently Es Calo had
a reputation as a hippy centre at
one stage, although there is little
sign of it now.
The local beach (called Ses
Platgetes) is very near to the
village - easy walking distance or
even easier on the bicycles that
can be hired.
The beaches on Formentera are
mostly clothing optional. About a
third or a half of the people on
the beaches may be naked and the
rest covered up.
